Leadership Tips

  1. Discovering your ministry gift - Minister where you feel at ease, don’t move into another man’s anointing or gifting.
    Romans 12:4-8, Ephesians 4:11-16
  2. Clear Christ - centered ministry fruit - conversions, disciples, leaders (determines ministry gifting).
    Matthew 4:18-22 28:18-20, John 15:16, Acts 14:23,  1Thessalonians 2:19-20
  3. God’s calling into ministry - His time not ours - King David was anointed 20 years before he eventually became king!  Even Jesus had to wait for His moment of calling!
    Mark 1:15, Acts 13:1-3, Galatians 1:14-17, 1Peter 5:6
  4. Finding Godly support.
    Luke 8:1-3, Gal 6:6, Phil 4:15-20, 1Tim 5: 17-18
  5. Being mentored by people who have your best interest at heart. It is vital that they are Christlike in example and teaching.
    Proverbs 19:20, Acts 11:25-26, 1Corinthians 4:15-17, Phil 2:25, 2Timothy 2:2
  6. Spiritual discernment.
    Matthew 7:15-23, 1Peter 5: 8-9, 1John 4:1-6
  7. Watch those blind spots! Be humble enough to take corrections from those who are true friends.
    Proverbs 27:6, Galatians 5:7 6:3, Colossians 3:16, 1Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1Peter 5:1-6, 2Peter 1:9
  8. Keep sowing the word in season and out of season.
    1Timothy 2:7 4:13, 2Timothy 3:14 -17, Hebrews 4:12
  9. God should always get the glory. Let others thank God for your ministry.
    Matthew 11:28-29, John 3:30, 13: 15-17
  10. Following Jesus’ example. The joy of true fellowship is when people start to relate together and our denominational masks are removed and we become those who not only respect one another but actual fulfil the Lord’s Command to Love one another (John 13:12-17,34-35). Then and only then do we experience a real sense of family which is clearly defined in the ‘One Another’ verses contained in the New Testament.
    Romans 12:10,16, 13:8, 16:6. Gal 5:13. Eph 4:2,32. Hebrews 10:24.1Peter 1:22,5:14. 1John 3:11 23, 4:7, 12. 2John 1:5.
